Sing Praises ... Forever (Psalm 61:7-8)

Today's scripture: Psalm 61:7-8

Each one of us will one day stand before the God of creation ... whether we believe in Him or not. For those of us who have committed our lives to Him and have accepted the gift of grace through the death, burial, and resurrection of God the Son, we will experience eternity in His presence. For those who haven't ... they will spend eternity separated from their Creator.

We who follow Christ can live in confidence that, while we live on this earth, we are blessed by God's mercy and are preserved by His truth. We receive grace and love.

We serve Him and others as He has called us to do.

However, this world is not our ultimate destination. One day, we'll be in the very presence of God—forever. We'll be part of a heavenly choir that sings praises to Him—forever. We'll serve Him in ways we cannot fully comprehend—forever.

As I wrote yesterday, my desire truly is to be with my Lord and Savior. I anticipate with great joy that day when I stand before Him and sing praises to His name ...

As the old hymn says:

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We'll sing and shout the victory!
